Wine tasting events ought to be about having fun and learning something new. Often a winetasting can be so serious that the joy of drinking wine is crushed.
Not so at Cocoa Bar (228 7th Avenue, 718.499.4080).
Last night Adnan Akhtar, NY area sales manager for Noble House Wines, poured from his portfolio at the Seventh Avenue location of Cocoa Bar. The wines - an eclectic mix of European and South American - were paired with super decadent Leonidas chocolate, a superb and old tradition.
New owners Massoud and Bahman Soltani were on hand to make sure the intimate gathering ran as smooth as the finish on the Alberto Roca Pinot Noir Akhtar was pouring.
