Work from home and make money with AVON

Working from home, being your own boss and setting your own schedule is a dream (and can be a reality) for many men and women.

However, if a vision of staying in your jammies all day with a cup of coffee pops into your head at the mention of working from home, I politely suggest you reassess your home business goals.

There are two words to pay attention to here: Home and Business.  The former does not negate the latter, which here means just because you're at home doesn't mean it's not business as usual.

To make money with Avon, you don't need a fancy office and you don't need your own computer (although that helps) or a special 800 number.  I did all of that and I threw away over thousands of dollars for almost a year.  That was an expensive lesson to learn!

What you need is exactly this:

• a kit and access to brochures
• access to the internet (hello, public library if you don't have your own computer & home network)
• a home phone or cell phone
• no less than half an hour each day, but more likely two hours daily
• a little space (not even a full room) house
• discipline and ambition

To make money with Avon, you need to first decide if you're going to focus most of your efforts on sales or recruiting.  In leadership, you still have sales goals but they are not as high as they might be if you were focusing primarily on sales.  As a sales leader, you have to turn some of the energy you would use for selling to motivating and building a team.  

Selling is fantastic, but the real money is in creating a deep, wide and productive downline.  If you are a sales leader, imagine cloning yourself by 10, 20, 50, 100 or more.  You get the picture.

To do this, you have to have a specific plan to attract and retain smart, ambitious people like yourself.

There are three things critical to building your Avon business: social media, advertising and marketing. If you aren't fully utilizing these three fundamentals, you're not going to grow your downline.

In our fear, we think we must wait until all the conditions are in our favor. Instead of taking small actions, each and every day, we wait.

We wait for our incomes to grow or become stable.

We wait for our partners or spouses to agree to or support  our dreams.

We wait to have kids, the kids to start school or for the kids to be grown and off to college.

We wait for others to tell us our idea is a good one or that we are smart enough or good enough.

We wait for retirement or the time when we do not have a job that we are married to, that prevents us from creating other revenue streams.

In short, we wait for external forces to allow us to earn more money, to achieve independence, to have the financial freedome we desire.

I have a message for all of you who are waiting for the right timing.

The time will never be right.

There will always be an obstacle, a life situation, a nay-sayer or person who doesn't believe in you.  Whatever you believe is preventing you from making more money, from starting your Avon business and growing it big, that is exactly what will present itself.

If you want to make money with Avon, you have to take the first step.   You have to get your kit, take the online courses, learn from more experienced reps, and start selling.

The science of getting rich

When you make a failure, it is because you have not asked for enough. Keep on and a larger thing than you were seeking will certainly come to you.  Remember this.

 The world is full of people who dream of riches.  They study books about how to attain wealth and how to attract prosperity. They are highly motivated and they focus their attention on having.

These folks dream of the day when.   To make money, you need the dream and the plan.

Dreams and intentions are excellent.  But dreams without action remain nothing more than lovely daydreams.

There are crucial steps missing.  One, you must have a plan. Two, you must take action.

Does it matter if you know how to do something the right way? No.  Does it matter if the timing is right? No.  Actually, if we wait for the right time in our lives, opportunity may just pass you by.

There really are three simple things you have to do to make money with Avon. 

• Buy into the opportunnity.  You can do that online. 
• Market your business every day.
• Don't give up. 

There is a 50% turnover rate in network marketing. The obvious meaning of this is that of every 100 reps signed, 50 will drop out. Most will never make it past the two year  milepost that experts say is the longevity a network marketer needs to put in before realizing real gains in the business. 

 Some will check out without ever taking advantage of their $20 investment. There are folks who want something without any effort.  These are the people who spend $20 to start a business and don't even take advantage of the deeply discounted products for themselves. 

Don't let this fact frustrate you or impact your vision. Keep moving, taking small actions each day, in the right direction. 

It seems too simple.  It isn't.  Giving up is easy. Sticking to a plan is essential.

 

Make money while you sleep

Everyone dreams about making money while they sleep.  A few people take action to do just that.

One of the easiest ways to start making money passively is to sign up for Google Adsense, an ad serving application run by Google Inc., where bloggers and website owners enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. The advertisements administered by Google generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis.

To use Google Adsense in your Avon business, you can create a blog or a website, then sign up to have ads populated to your beauty website that just happens to also  be selling your Avon products. 

In this way, your site functions not only to sell your Avon opportunity, but also to generate an additional stream of revenue for your efforts.

A second way to harness the power of the internet is to use Google Adwords. In this case, you're paying for advertising for your business based on clicks. 

It works like this according to Google:

You always pay the lowest amount possible for the highest position you can get given your Quality Score and CPC (cost per click) bid. To find this amount, we divide the Ad Rank of the ad showing beneath you by your Quality Score, then round up to the nearest cent (we show this part of the formula as "+ $0.01" to keep things simple).

For search pages, Ad Rank is calculated by multiplying the matched keyword's CPC bid by its Quality Score. For Display Network pages, Ad Rank is calculated by multiplying the ad group's Display Network bid by its Quality Score.

 Actual CPC = (Ad Rank to beat ÷ Quality Score) + $0.01

When you purchase Google ads, you don't pay unless someone clicks on your ad. The best way to get the most for your advertising dollars is to test your ads to see if the keywords you're using are working hard for you.

Google Adwords recommeds the following when selecting keywords for your ads:

It's essential that your keywords are relevant and high-quality. Overly general keywords will make it difficult to reach potential customers, and your advertising will probably be less profitable.

Here are the top three tips to help you improve your keyword quality:

1. Choose your keywords carefully. Make sure they're specific and directly relate to the theme of your ad and the page you are directing your customers to. Keywords of two or three words tend to work most effectively.


2. Include relevant variations of your best keywords, including singular and plural versions. If applicable, consider using colloquial terms, synonyms, and product or serial numbers.


3. Be specific. Keywords that are too broad or general will not reach users as effectively as keywords that are highly targeted.

 

 

Write your own paycheck

When you work for someone else, your salary depends on external factors.  

In other words, you have to stick your hand out and ask someone else to pay you what you're worth. Then you have to justify all the reasons you deserve more money.

Here's what I've learned about this system. It works pretty great if you're the boss.  Sometimes it works well if you're the employee, but you need to be at the tip of the iceberg and not at the base. Mostly, it works against you, the worker bee.

I never liked this system,  particularly the part where I had to do my dog and pony act to justify my salary increases.

I work hard. I deserve a raise. Period.

With Avon, you control when you work and how much money you make.  There's a simple equation to follow.  How hard and smart you work is directly proportionate to how much money you can make.

The vast majority of people who go into networking marketing fail before they start because they don't equip themselves with the tools they need to succeed. A second set fail because they think the Avon product will sell itself.  That's what we hear all the time: The brochure sells itself.

This is the truth.

You can't sell anything if the customer doesn't see the product. You can't add to your downline if no one knows about it. You have to position your product and opportunity in front of as many interested parties as possible.  

Doing this is going to require some thought and action.
