Alloro celebrates liquor license with aperitivo

Alloro (307 East 77th Street, NY, NY 212.535.2866) hosts a kick-off party, Monday, October 26, 2009, celebrating the arrival of its new liquor license.
The party starts at 5 pm with complimentary hors d'oeuvres and $5 cocktails until closing. Cash only.
Alloro now boasts a full bar staffed by mixologists, Megan Gonzalez and Robbie Mooney. The cocktail list features Italian cocktail classics such as the Negroni and Bellini but also updated specialty cocktails such as the Licorice Stick Martini (Vodka, Sambuca, Black Licorice Stick) and the Espresso Martini (Navan Vanilla Liqueur, Khalua, Espresso). Only top shelf liquor will be available.Starting on Tuesday, October 27th, Alloro will host an Aperitivo every night from 5pm - 7pm where guests will enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and nightly drink discounts.
Taking its name from the herb, Laurel, this family-run eatery on New York's Upper East Side is helmed by Executive Chef Salvatore Corea, who also owns Cacio e Pepe in New York. He and his wife, Gina Rotundo, opened Alloro in June 2008.
