Eco-experts teach healthy home makeover seminars in NYC

“The good news is indoor air pollution is one risk that you can do something about,” according to the Environmental Protection Agency. 

RefreshMyNest.com, a website to educate and inform consumers in green best practices, is offering a series of free Healthy Home Makeover seminars to help consumers improve indoor air quality and refresh their nests easily, affordably and efficiently. 

Eco-experts Ron and Lisa Beres of Green Nest, an online natural products store, show consumers how to renew living spaces with natural, organic solutions in Healthy Home Makeover seminars in New York, California, Virginia and Illinois. 

Next dates are:

  •  Saturday, April 10,1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, in Uniondale, NY, at Long Island Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, 101 James Doolittle Boulevard
  • Sunday, April 11, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, in Tarrytown, NY, at Marriott Westchester, 670 White Plains Rd. 
The series kicked off in Costa Mesa April 3. 

Frequent guests on the Today Show, The Doctors and other national TV shows, the Beres teach the steps to turn homes into green retreats and demonstrate SANYO's innovative air purification system, Air Washer Plus.

Win tickets to the NY Asian Film Festival


Taking place June 19 to July 5 at IFC Center and Japan Society in NYC, the New York Asian Film Festival features over 50 films, shorts, and special events, and more than a dozen guest filmmakers.

Japanese actor Eiji Okuda and director Sion Sono will be making an appearance at Kinokuniya Bookstore (1073 Avenue of the Americas) on July 3 at 4:30 PM.

Both Okuda and Sono will be in NYC as guests of the New York Asian Film Festival, and they'll be at Kinokuniya to speak about their careers and their work together on their newest film, BE SURE TO SHARE, which will receive its World Premiere on Sunday, July 5 at 8:15 PM at Japan Society. The film is being co-presented as part of Japan Society's JAPAN CUTS Festival of New Japanese Film.
